Resolved Question: Self-insured won’t reimburse wage losses, what to do?

I’m in the middle of a claim process with a long-term valet parking lot that damaged my car while in their care. They’re self-insured, and so far I haven’t involved my insurance company to avoid the risk of premium increase, and because getting the deductible back isn’t certain. The claim is for ~$2,200, plus $115 in wage losses. They’re ok with the main amount but refuse to pay the wage losses (for no reason). What would you do? What’s customary for wage losses in such cases, how do insurance companies treat that portion of a claim? Is there anything to say/do between sucking it up and going to court? The $2,200 includes rental car reimbursement.
